Grief can result from many types of losses, and everyone's grief is different. I won't preach the 5 stages of grief to you. My job is to help you navigate your own grief in your own way.
Our therapists are experience in working with loss and grief. Some have specific specialities, such as working with siblings who have experienced loss at a young age. Others work in broader grief related areas such as the grief associated with injury and unexpected change in life circumstances that thwarts goals and desires. We are members of the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement and regularly ensure we have update professional development in this area so that we can continue to provide a quality service for our clients.
Most people will experience loss at some point in their lives. Therapy can help with any sort of loss, whether society validates the grief or not. Therapy is an opportunity to explore your feelings and memories without judgment. No loss is too big or too small to warrant support. You do not have to endure your grief alone.
