As a high school teacher for over twenty years, a mother of four teens, and an In Home Clinician working with children and adolescents for five years, I like to say that I speak fluent teen. These formative years are met with some many obstacles; mentally, physically, academically, and personally. Navigating one's way during this time can be confusing, and we all know that "parents just don't understand." I start by building rapport and helping your child to acknowledge their struggles and then we work together to find ways to overcome them in a supportive and understanding space.
*Free Consultation* With 6 years of experience working in schools, ranging from elementary to college, I intricately and intimately understand the unique challenges that accompany childhood and adolescence. I offer a 15 min free consultation, so please reach out to see if we're a good fit!
Therapy offers children and adolescents a supportive and empowering space to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, build resilience, and develop the skills they need to thrive during the tumultuous adolescent years. By working with a skilled therapist, young people can gain greater self-awareness, confidence, and emotional well-being as they navigate the transition to adulthood.
Our clinicians commonly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), stress management or play/game therapy techniques to treat children and teens struggling with depression and anxiety. We also work closely with their parents to develop techniques that can be used at home.

I work with teens ages 12+ and young adults virtually! If your teen is struggling with school anxiety, stress, or avoidance, self harm or emotional dysregulation, or depression or effects of trauma I am here to support! Through a blend of trauma-informed & somatic approaches I will help your teen learn how to cope with and manage feelings and develop confidence in themselves. I will always prioritize creating a safe and trusting relationship first, because I do believe the therapeutic relationship matters most. As a parent, it can be difficult when you know your teen is struggling all while you are also trying to keep up with life stressors and work, so I am happy to provide parent coaching every 4-6 weeks or sooner depending on need, to make sure you are being updated and know how to best support your teen. If the teen client is open to it, I will also happily provide family sessions to talk together as a team.
