Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile.
"People can cry much easier than they can change." — James Baldwin
Life can be challenging, and sometimes the weight of anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, parenting struggles, family conflict, trauma, or major life transitions can leave you feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about what comes next. Taking the first step toward therapy is not always easy, but you do not have to navigate these challenges alone.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Parent Coach, educator, and mother of four with more than 20 years of experience helping children, teens, adults, couples, and families build healthier, more fulfilling lives. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, parenting support, adolescent issues, self-esteem, trauma, family relationships, and life transitions. I often joke that I speak fluent teen, but my true passion is helping people strengthen their relationships, improve communication, and develop the confidence needed to overcome life's challenges.
I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide guidance, support, and practical tools while helping you uncover the strengths that already exist within you. Together, we will create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore concerns, build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful change.
My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. Whether you are seeking therapy for yourself, your child, your relationship, or your family, I am committed to helping you achieve your goals and develop the skills needed to thrive both now and in the future.
I provide in-person therapy in Montclair, New Jersey, as well as secure online therapy throughout New Jersey and Florida.
I offer a complimentary consultation and would welcome the opportunity to discuss how we can work together.

Treatment Approach
- Art Therapy Uses creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpture as a way to express emotions. It is especially helpful when words are hard to find.
- Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Play Therapy Uses toys, games, and creative play to help children express emotions. It is especially useful when children can’t fully verbalize their feelings.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: No two people experience life's challenges in the same way, which is why I take an individualized approach to therapy. I draw from a variety of evidence-based treatment methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Play Therapy, and Art Therapy to meet the unique needs of each client.
My approach focuses on helping clients identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, improve emotional regulation, and build confidence in their ability to navigate life's challenges. For children and adolescents, I utilize creative and developmentally appropriate techniques such as Play Therapy and Art Therapy to encourage expression, communication, and emotional growth. For adults, couples, and families, I help foster insight, resilience, self-compassion, and meaningful change through collaborative goal setting and practical skill-building.
Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, family conflict, self-esteem issues, or major life transitions, therapy is tailored to your individual goals and strengths. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where healing, growth, and lasting change can occur.
