My approach is informed by various modalities, including CBT, REBT and dynamic theories, and I incorporate elements of mindfulness, values and meaning to guide my work with each client. Everyone has unique priorities, strengths, needs and preferences, and when we work from an approach that honors those parts of you, we see the biggest change in well-being and quality of life. I'm warm, funny (sometimes we'll laugh together and sometimes you'll laugh at me, either way, if you're able to laugh it can help make the hard work of therapy a little easier), and my number one goal is to foster safety and security and approach each person's unique experience and struggle from a place of curiosity and non-judgment. One of the hardest things about modern life is that we have more means of connection today than ever before, yet we feel more disconnected. My hope is to help you foster that sense of connection, in the therapy room, with your significant people, and most importantly, yourself. Sometimes, you need someone to listen to and reflect what you're going through, sometimes you need someone to give you strategies to problem solve or cope, and sometimes you need someone to call you out when you're standing in your own way, and that's how I approach therapy.

Approach Description: There is no single formula for therapy that works for everyone, and I use my training and experience in several modalities to tailor my work to each client. I like the structure of CBT and REBT, and believe that a great deal of our suffering comes from unhelpful patterns in relating to ourselves and others. I think that we often question our place in the world and the answers we come up with inform our sense of self and well-being - which is where relational and existential ideas come into play in my work. And I use a feminist lens in much of my work because I believe that existing in our world is hard, and people of all sexes and genders have unique challenges, and it is important to consider the impact of this interplay in my work with clients. My practice is a safe, affirming and accepting place, and while I may sometimes say things you don't like, they won’t be the kind of things that disregard, dismiss or invalidate your identity and experience.

- Affordable sliding scale therapy: apply if you may be eligible.
- I have a sliding scale for clients who are experiencing financial hardship. Financial hardship may look different to you than it does to me, and it's not my place to decide for anyone else what they can afford. I encourage you to reach out if you think you'd like to work with me, so that we can have a conversation about what "affordable" means to you, and what options I can offer to make therapy accessible.
- Out of Network
- I am not in network with any insurance panels, but I am happy to provide a superbill if you have Out of Network benefits and choose to submit for reimbursement.
