Julie Willsie

Registered Psychotherapist, BSc, MACP; Registered Psychotherapist
It is my life experience that is my greatest asset; I have divorced, found a wonderful life partner, raised 2 children and 2 stepchildren, and went back to school at 50 to start a new career. Although I know our past shapes us, I really like to focus on the present and how to work together to address your issues, set goals and work at reaching them together. Some of this may require the difficult work of looking back, but always with the focus of moving forward.

London, Ontario therapist: Gabrielle Ferguson, registered psychotherapist
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Gabrielle Ferguson

Registered Psychotherapist, BA, GC-C, RP-qualifying
Along with providing general psychotherapy, I am certified in grief counselling. I firmly believe that even though grief is one of the hardest things a person will experience, it is not in need of a cure, because you are not sick. Grief needs support and understanding. Healing comes from within, but only when a person is provided with a strong enough sense of safety.

London, Ontario therapist: Mary B Rodenhurst, licensed clinical social worker
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Mary B Rodenhurst

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, BA, BSW, MSW RSW
I am a Registered Social Worker with over forty years of experience working mostly in hospital based Mental Health facilitating individuals, couples and families to achieve well-being and their personal best I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), informed Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and I am also well experienced in facilitating group therapy. I was a member of the teams that developed and implemented the Adult Anxiety and Affective Disorders Program and the Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Program specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression and psychosis at London Health Sciences Center. In addition to working at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC), Madame Vanier Children Services in London Ontario and McDonald House Community Out-patient Psychiatry General Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, with both adult and adolescent populations, I maintained a private practice since 1990. Since retiring from LHSC in 2016, my private practice has thrived and is now full time. At times life is a balancing act, and sometimes we need a little guidance and support to maintain that balance. An experienced therapist can help us move through difficult times, better understand our families/relationships, and find our inner sense of peace, well being and wisdom. Having a neutral, non-judgmental place to share difficulties, receive validation and support can be very beneficial. Collaboration to reach your goal is an essential element of our work together. The client brings open communication, a desire for change and I will listen unconditionally and without judgment. We will work together to help you hear your inner voice and nurture your resilience. Sessions are confidential and provide a safe and relaxed environment with your best interests as a priority. My counselling approach begins with a thorough assessment. This will include gathering information about social supports, daily routines and self care. Once problems are clarified, a detailed plan for counselling is made. Family or close supports are welcome to join sessions as desired. Please note that all counselling sessions will include confidential discussions and note-taking. At the initial session we will discuss consent to services, protection of your personal information and exceptions to confidentiality.

*Currently taking new clients!* Authenticity, compassion and results. You can expect all 3 of these from therapy with me. Whether I'm working 1 on 1 with someone or with couples, it's a priority for me to ensure you feel emotionally safe (i.e., not judged) in our sessions. I’m very genuine, knowledgeable, and committed to helping you learn, grow, and to create the changes you want. Unlike a lot of therapists, I often assign ‘homework’ to my clients to help them practice new skills and learn more about themselves. I value letting my clients be who they are, so laughter or swearing are totally allowed. I’ve been able to overcome some mental health and personal challenges in my own life. I know what it can feel like to struggle and not know what to do to make things better. I’d be honoured to help you achieve relief and better quality of life by drawing on my training and experience. I work with individuals age 17 and older, and I also provide couples counselling.

I want to hear your story. The stories we tell about ourselves shape the way we live our lives and impact every choice we make. But a lot of the stories we tell ourselves aren't true; they're based on painful experiences we've had. Therapy can help you change the way you see yourself, your life, your relationships, and your future. I can help support you as you heal, working through the painful things that have happened and the negative ways they've impacted you. Just focusing on managing symptoms can be helpful, but healing the root cause of pain is what I help clients do. Get in touch with me today to see how I can help you.

I see all kinds of humans in my practice, who show up struggling with all kinds of human issues. I am excited (and humbled) to work with you on whatever brings you to therapy. Our work together is informed by my experience (nearly twelve years in the mental health system, including hospitals and a school board), knowledge, and more formal certifications (in modalities like CBT for instance -- but there is so much more than CBT!), and of course by you and the uniqueness of your stories and experiences. Please consider reaching out -- I would love to hear from you.
