Dr. JD Wright

Psychologist, PhD, Licensed Psychologist
In our therapeutic journey together, my approach is grounded in an understanding of the impact of trauma, recognizing that our struggles always exist in the context of our environments and histories. I weave mindfulness and positive psychology into our sessions, aiming not just for 'okay,' but for a life that feels truly meaningful and fulfilling. Trained in EMDR, ACT, CBT, and clinical hypnosis, I bring a diverse toolkit to tailor our sessions to your unique needs. I see our time together as a collaborative space, where your feedback and active participation shape the path to your well-being. There's no one-size-fits-all in therapy—I believe in finding the approach that resonates best with you and addresses your specific concerns. Let's embark on this journey towards positive change together.

Sound Mind Sound Body LLC

Psychologist, MPsy, PsyD
The concept of Sound Mind Sound Body LLC is based on an Ancient Greek proverb that in order to be truly healthy, one must be healthy in both mind and body-if there is an imbalance, there is less fulfillment in one’s life. My goal is to help you to achieve that balance. There is an obvious emphasis in attaining physical health, and too often, there is less emphasis on the importance of mental health. In particular, how mental health can be impacted by physical health, and how physical health can impact mental health. Whether you experience chronic illness, trauma, identity issues (sexual orientation, ethnicity, the roles we play)-these are all areas that can affect one’s overall health. As a clinical psychologist, I have years of experience working in all these areas and hope to serve you to improve your well being. As someone who also struggles with chronic illness, specifically Crohn's Disease and PSC, my personal experience can also be helpful in improving understanding and treatment. Asking for help is hard, especially when you are in pain or feeling isolated. It's a brave step to reach out for help. I strive to help you find your healthiest self and to improving your quality of life. Feel free to e-mail: drwells@smsb-llc.com

Alena Porter

Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, NCC
My goal as a therapist is to create a safe non-judgemental space for all clients, especially clients who may not click with other therapists such as LGBTQ+, gender diverse, polyamorous or non-monogamous, and kink practicing clients. During our sessions you can be your true self. You don't have to mask with me or hide things about you that you think are weird or unlikeable. Ideally I can help you learn to like those aspects of yourself. You never have to hide important parts of your identity with me because I will never judge you for any reason.
