Online therapists that treat Adults in California
Below is a list of therapists offering online sessions in California
The Mindful Life with Lori Kahn
Life Coach, Certified Integrative Coach, Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, Certified Neurofeedback
Our lives have moved to remote work/learning/doctors appointments/therapy and everything in between this last year! Coaching has always traditionally been a remote relationship. Being in your own space can create a sense of safety and privacy that is needed to have open honest communication and allows the client to have the time after each session to sit with and journal in their own space without having to go out in public or hop in a car!

Ryan Dalusag LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
Whether it’s your first time in therapy or have been looking for a new therapist, welcome! I thank you and applaud you for taking steps to help yourself in your mental health journey. Seeking help and talking about some of our deepest, darkest, and most difficult moments can be really challenging, and I hope to be able to support you in navigating through it. As founder of Well-Being Heritage Therapeutic Services, I aim to create a space and community that can help you build another sense of “home” - a space of validation and acceptance, of diversity and inclusivity, a place to come as you are. A space to laugh together, cry together, and succeed together.

Susan Stone
Marriage and Family Therapist, M.A., Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I work with adults from every walk of life and in diverse circumstances. The common thread: things don't feel manageable anymore. Life has gotten out of hand, and feelings like anxiety, self-doubt, depression, and disappointment seem to be taking over – if they haven’t already. Some might think they are “going crazy!” Others feel selfish because they crave self-care and a break from never being enough.
My job (and privilege) is to come alongside you to provide support, feedback, and help you better understand things and make plans to improve things. Sometimes, I will validate feelings that you’ve discounted or point out challenges you’ve grown so accustomed to that you brush them aside, even though they are part of what trips you up. Together, we’ll gain perspectives and insights about how to make things better.
Sessions will be via telehealth (live video). While it can take a little getting used to for those accustomed to in-person sessions, the ease of access and being in a space that is familiar and comfortable goes a long way to make up for the distance. Many find that having ready access to their online notes and journals, screen sharing, and the ability to look up information together in session provides extra benefits. As for rapport and connectedness, video therapy doesn’t need to impede these critical features of the therapeutic relationship.
In session, we will review the week for clues about what to focus on. We will talk about how things went and how they could have turned out better. I’ll ask many questions, listen a lot, and work with you to identify options for improving life. You’ll tear up sometimes, but you’ll be surprised how often we chuckle.

Glori R. Zeltzer
Marriage and Family Therapist, MA, MFT
Do you have a time consuming career?
Does carving out time for a therapy appointment feel impossible?
Have you tried therapy in the past, but found yourself canceling because of work commitments?
Is your partner complaining that they don't feel as important as your work?
Is privacy a priority?
I work with doctors, attorneys, corporate executives, first responders, and just plain very busy people and their partners over a secure online platform. You can be at home or in your office while I am in my office.
Other reasons for choosing remote, or "E-therapy" are:
• Reducing travel time to appointments
• Scheduling a meeting during the work day without leaving the office
• When travel takes you out of town
• Working with a therapist outside your local area that has the expertise you require
There is a unique intimacy working face-to-face over the web that I find to be as valuable as the in-office experience.
I am an experienced E-therapist, having worked with individuals and couples who prefer an electronic connection. I use a HIPPA approved teleconference platform that ensures our privacy.

Stephen B. Lewis Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapist, CHt
I've been conducting hypnotherapy sessions online for several years now and have found them to be just as effective for my clients as in-person sessions. Hypnotherapy can be more "experiential" than other types of therapy but I've successfully adapted many of my in-person techniques for use online. If you are a local client the choice to come to my office or have the session online is up to you. If you live outside the San Francisco Bay Area I think you'll find that online sessions with me will be fruitful and mind-bending just the same.
7 Years Experience
Alison Alderdice, The Wise Mind Institute
Psychologist, PsyD
Some people come to me overwhelmed, exhausted, and insecure. Others need help with an important life decision. My approach is active and collaborative: I trust their knowledge of themselves and offer my insights, skills, and training to achieve lasting change and healing. Together, we identify ways to align their daily lives and environments with their long-term goals and values. We turn avoidance into action and integrate unaccepted aspects of themselves through mindfulness and self-compassion. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and genuine. I am passionate about helping people reduce their suffering and build lives they find meaningful and fulfilling.
