I work almost exclusively with couples to navigate infidelity, lost intimacy and physical connection, as well as patterns of arguing which may seem endless and hopeless.
We work with couples who are experiencing relationship distress, infidelity, adjustments/transitions, difficulties with emotional/physical intimacy, and difficulties managing intense emotions as well as couples seeking relationship enhancement.
My work focuses heavily on helping couples and spouses to reconnect, both emotionally and physically. Whether you are feeling angry, apathetic, hopeless, or desperate, I will work with you to find breakthroughs together.
Encourage and support effective communication skills, changes in behavior and transforming how couples approach their relationship. Purposeful and sincere connection, honest sharing and disciplined communications.
Relationships and couples/marriage counseling is one of the main reasons people seek therapy. Attachment research is clear about our need as human to connect with and have a loving relationship with another that is mutual and reciprocal.
Whatever your relationship might be- marriage, coupledom, siblings, family, friendships, there are times where it can feel and get messy. Coming together and sifting through this "mess", speaking one's truth and allowing a safe space for other's to be heard and speak their truth is essential in order to move forward in life with clarity and peace of mind.

I am trained in Gottman Couples Therapy Method, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and as an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. These three trainings are extremely important when working with couples. My entire practice is geared toward couples and co-parents, and I am not a general therapist. You will see the difference in with me as a provider who works exclusively with couples.
Please see the practice statement below for an expanded explanation. Relationship and marriage therapy training include EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), Gottman method, IBCT (Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy), Collaborative Couples therapy, and PREP (Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program).
I have specialized training in marriage and relationship counseling. We need our relationships, to help us shoulder the challenges of life, but also to discover who we are in the deepest sense. But old ideas of ourselves and deep inner patterns can obscure and cloud our judgment, and we can find ourselves living out our relationship in patterns that are in the way. When a couple wants to move forward there is always a way. I can help you clear away the distortions, find the language of understanding, that can help you to grow together.
Couples therapy is a type of psychotherapy in which a therapist with clinical experience working with couples, helps two people involved in a romantic relationship gain insight into their relationship, resolve conflict and improve relationship satisfaction utilizing a variety of therapeutic interventions. Couples therapy tends to involve the following general elements: A focus on a specific problem (i.e. sexual difficulties, infidelity, jealousy) Active participation on the part of the therapist in treating the relationship itself, rather than each individual separately. Solution-focused, change-oriented interventions early on in treatment.
A clear establishment of treatment objectives.
