If you are looking for a new therapy experience that accepts who you are without judgment, I would be honored to work with you. I understand it is impossible to force people into boxes and label their life with stereotypical behaviors. We are all unique with our own combination of thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
I strive to be a good listener and let you be in charge of our time together–you are the expert on your life. I will be your guide to help you uncover the driving forces in your life and explore whatever has caused or is causing you trauma.
As someone who has always felt everything very deeply and has spent a life being labeled as overly sensitive, I have learned to take advantage of these perceived weaknesses and turn them into my greatest strengths. I hope to help you do the same.
Perhaps what people have always told you was a problem can evolve into a superpower. Together we will uncover the profound truths that lie within you by accepting you, finding your inner strength, and welcoming you as the unique individual you are.

Philadelphia Art Therapy Associates
Art Therapist, MA, ATR-BC, LPC
We discovered how to create our usual safe, trusting, and creative in-person therapy experience online. We know that you may have "Zoom Fatigue" because work, education, and socialization moved that direction during the pandemic. Our creative therapists bring energy and engagement, adding in physical movement as needed to enliven sessions. We brainstorm with you for creative ways to use household items and art materials you may have on hand to spark interaction and get the process moving. Fortunately, the very nature of art therapy involves time spent "making things" and then communicating about them. This means that you can do powerful therapy through the magic of video sessions with us. In-person or virtually, we can connect with anyone and form productive relationships and therapy processes!

Laura Turner
Counselor/Therapist, NCC
Understanding the human condition drew me to this field. I’ll continue learning alongside you as you work toward healing. Through mindfulness, self-awareness, and gratitude, we can grow and reach our greatest potential.
My clients are navigating life transitions, learning to love their bodies, or questioning their gender identity and/or sexual orientation. Our time together might look like healing trauma, understanding family culture, or creating more bodily awareness.
Authenticity is core to everything I do. As long as it works for you, I may cuss as a form of expression. I’ll lovingly call my client's on their BS and have an honest conversation about their barriers to success. Expect me to integrate the use of (my) self strategically. If I can't be comfortable bringing all of myself to the table, how can I expect you to be?
I live in an area where my identity as a queer, plus-size woman is often disrespected, so I’m acutely aware of the barriers to growth that exist. My hope is to create a space where you can be yourself and focus on just yourself, regardless of identity.
We all go through challenges and disruption. Let me walk with you through yours.

Psychologist, Licensed Psychologist
With technology, you can experience all the benefits of in-person therapy on secure, easy-to-use, high-quality internet platforms. Online sessions allow you to do therapy in the comfort of your own home or allow you flexibility in environments that best suit you. It can be especially helpful to those who find it challenging to travel to an office for appointments due to location, work, children at home, lifestyle, or other practical or personal reasons.
While there are multiple ways that counseling can take place online, I work primarily with face-to-face video conferencing via Zoom and, on occasion, telephone sessions.
I always hold my sessions in a quiet and confidential space, giving you the same confidentiality & professionalism that you experience within an office setting.
Most, if not all, of my clients, find virtual sessions to be highly effective and convenient. They allow for the comfort and safety of therapy in your own space, and no travel time is often less vulnerable than needing to go to an office. Research of multiple studies finds that online therapy is equally effective as in-person for most cases. That being said I always advocate for what works best for each individual and it is wonderful to have choices to find your best path whichever that may be.
If you are not super-computer savvy or are anxious about how to use technology, I will work to make it as seamless as possible. I have chosen a platform that is easy to use and I am happy to assist you with any questions or concerns.
A common concern I hear from clients regarding online therapy is finding a quiet and/or confidential space when you’re homebound with children and/or family members or roommates. Be sure and scope this out in advance so you are guaranteed quiet and privacy during your session.
Since it is so convenient many times people forget to allow themselves a few minutes to "switch hats" and allow themselves a few breaths and get settled into being present and in the head/body space for your session.
Headphones or Airpods can often make audio clearer or ensure more privacy but are not necessary.
Given that video sessions can be conducted on your smartphone, clients have found it helpful to go to a park, sit in their car in the driveway, and/or walk around your neighborhood. Get creative and support yourself. Find a private space that allows you to receive support no matter where you are.
You are welcome to have pets join your space if you find that comforting, and supporting, and you may see my fellow feline/canine therapists join in one of our sessions on my end.

Welcome to your healing journey! Together, we will work to process current and/or past challenges so we can create an individualized plan that is focused on healing and prosperity. Whether you're struggling with grief, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or looking for an outlet to explore your values, purpose and faith, I'm here to provide a safe space. Every session will start with similar words to "What's on your heart today?" The time is entirely yours to discuss and process whatever you need.
I utilize client centered approaches as well as holistic and reflective listening to help clients solve their challenges. Clients can expect me to support them by holding them accountable for steps they set toward their goals, and empowering/encouraging them along the way.
Therapy is an act of self-love and resilience. If you are struggling with something and need someone to talk to, why wait to start healing and step toward a life you love? Now is a great time because it shows you are ready to prioritize mental well-being and work toward positive change.
