Dr. Yanet Vanegas Practice Description
From the innocent curiosity of infancy to the tumultuous transitions of adolescence, childhood is a profound tapestry of growth, development, and discovery. It is during this formative period that I found my passion and purpose in the field of psychology—to support, nurture, and empower the young minds and hearts that will shape our future. My fascination with child psychology stems from a deep appreciation for the resilience and potential inherent in every child. Through my studies and experiences, I have understood the unique challenges and opportunities that accompany each stage of childhood development. Whether it's navigating the complexities of early attachment or helping adolescents navigate the tumultuous waters of identity formation, I am committed to providing compassionate and evidence-based care that honors the individuality of each child. As a practitioner, I believe in taking a holistic approach to child psychology, one that recognizes the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. Whether through play therapy, cognitive-behavioral interventions, or family systems approaches, I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore, express, and heal.
