Birgit Schreiber
Psychologist, PhD and MA in Psychology
Psychological therapy, online/videoconferencing
As a psychotherapist with a doctorate, I have 25 years of experience in psychotherapy and now offer therapy also in the online counseling/therapy space. I have found this an effective alternative, due to the many benefits, including convenience, flexibility, and ease of access and offering a wider choice of therapist. I approach my clients with openness, acceptance and curiosity, and together we find ways to understand, manage, and change unhelpful patterns, overwhelming feelings, challenging conditions, or past experiences that can hold us back.
I recommend an initial consultation to get to know each other. I pursue a multimodal therapy approach and have extensive knowledge in dealing with psychological, social, family and professional problems. My specializations include, among others:
• Stress management, coping strategies, and burnout prevention
• Reactions to any stress, including relational, social, familial, personal, and professional
• Anxiety disorders and related symptoms
• Depressions and related challenges around mood
• Challenges in professional life, especially during career changes and in leadership positions
• Adjustment disorders, losses, separation, trauma, and other life changes
• Problems in interpersonal relationships, partner and family challenges
I prefer to work in a time-limited and collaborative way. Together we find ways for you to change some aspects in your life in sustainable ways. Please feel free to write to me with any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you.

Ardross Psychology Practice
Psychologist, Registered Clinical Psychologists - Dr Peter Gibbons and Adri Hunt
Adri Hunt and Dr Peter Gibbons have used online therapy for a number of years. The new Coviu and Zoom platforms provide access to virtual whiteboards as well as tools such as Powerpoint and video presentations which can be an effective way of communicating useful information. Where possible, both Adri and Peter encourage at least one face to face session but that is not a requirement. Online therapy can be interrupted at times with power outages or NBN difficulties, however it is possible to switch platforms or to reschedule the session. Both therapists make best use of the benefits of online therapy and can be creative in their use of what it has to offer by taking into account the limitations of this medium. Both therapists offer ongoing support via emails, voice messages and will email worksheets and relevant information where relevant

Kerri Parke

For the foreseeable future, my practice will conduct sessions online via Zoom. Lockdowns have shown that online therapy can be a more convenient way of accessing support and means you can access therapy with me wherever you are in Australia. I am also open to working with people in other parts of the world, assuming that the time difference can work for both of us.

Ilana Grosman
Registered Psychotherapist
I have found some people can be skeptical of online therapeutic work, but from experience (as both the therapist and as the participant) I have found it to be just as potent as working in person. In some cases, depending on the person, it can even be more powerful when working from a place of comfort, like home.

Mairead Cleary
Registered Psychotherapist, Masters in Gestalt Therapy
I've been offering online counselling and therapy session for many years and have found that online therapy sessions can be just as powerful as in-person sessions.
And it makes sense. You're in your own domain, your refuge, the place you go at the end of the day to switch off and be yourself. Doing online sessions also means you can have your pet with you if you have one. They can be a great resource in therapeutic work.
