I have been offering psychoanalytic psychotherapy online since 2010. During the COVID 19 pandemic I am working exclusively online. At other times about one third of my busy private practice is delivered online. I have found that doing therapy online can be highly effective. It may not be suitable for everyone so it’s important to have an initial online session to chat through the options

London, England therapist: Benjamin Marr, counselor/therapist

Benjamin Marr

Counsellor/Therapist, BA MA Relational Psychotherapist/ Birkbeck College - Psychodynamic Counsellor
My clients consider these facets of my relational psychotherapy to be important and effective resources for the support they are seeking and have fed back to me high levels of satisfaction with this branch of my practice. Naturally, online psychotherapy is not appropriate for everyone, but it has shown effectiveness in a number of important situations. For example, issues involving recovery from various addictions have benefited from online therapy, especially in cases where the client might wish to overcome any attitude to regularly attending traditional face-to-face and one-on-one supportive psychotherapy sessions. Obviously, the convenience element is a major factor for clients and I have endeavoured to put into place as robust an I.T. structure as appropriate for the privacy and security of all clients. I am a Registrant on the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy's (BACP) Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, under Registration number 383789 and an Individual Member of the BACP, under number 00525107.

Dr Ian Anderson

Psychologist, Consultant Clinical Psychologist (HCPC registered), PhD, MSc, MSc, MSc, MA (Econ), BA (Econ) Hons
I am a Consultant Psychologist registered with the HCPC with over 30 years of experience. I have worked in private practice with over 2,000 patients and supervised more than 100 therapists. I am separately qualified in various fields of applied psychology including Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Counselling Psychology, and Occupational Psychology. I deliver psychological counselling and other types of therapy remotely. There is no difference whatsoever between conventional therapy and the therapy I deliver with the exception that unlike conventional psychotherapy or counselling, the therapist and the client are not in the same room. I deliver all my counselling and therapy by the following methods: video conferencing, telephone sessions, real-time online chat, and email. I am aware that working remotely with a counsellor is something that few people have experienced, so I offer an initial free session in order that you can decide whether this is right for you and I can determine whether I can help. Your first session can usually be arranged within days. My charges are on a sliding scale to match your circumstances. For more information about me or my services please visit either of my sites: DrIanAnderson.com or iPsychology.clinic.

Online Therapy helps to keep you feel safe: you do not even have to leave your house. In our modern world we have at our fingertips the luxury of being able to reach each other across oceans and time zones and borders between lands and I offer this as your therapist. Wherever you are, all you need is your laptop or your phone and your own bedroom or study. I work with flexibility ie if you need to change the hour of your session I will do my best to accomodate your schedule. I will help you feel as comfortable as possible so that you can trust me with your anxiety, your fears, your sadness or grief or shame. And coming to online sessions means that you can come in your slippers; hey you can even bring along a hot water bottle and a blanket if that feels comforting. It all makes turning up that much easier. Having said all this, when I am in town ie London I will offer an in-person session if this feels important, something that I will talk to you about. Come and find me, I will help you figure out what you need.
