Approach Description: Dr Roberts tailors her treatment according to the needs of each patient informed by the literature and evidence based approaches. Her approach is primarily based on EMDR therapy which is typically a shorter duration treatment and therefore more cost effective than traditional talk therapies. The average length of time that patients remain in treatment is 6 to 9 months. Most patients discharge themselves at that time because they have attained the results they had hoped for. Dr Roberts' approach is strength based and solution focused. You will find her a wise and compassionate adviser. Her approach is direct, emotionally honest and kind. She thinks from a comprehensive and holistic perspective. She will assess your self-care, medical, biological, personal history, lifestyle habits, thought patterns, nutrition, sleep and mental hygiene and formulate a unique structured treatment plan to address your difficulties. She will assist you in focusing on your strengths and transforming liabilities into assets. Dr Roberts, as the daughter of a Chief Justice, is unflinchingly ethical and has a natural legal acumen.
