You may be telling yourself you “should be over this by now”, but something still feels tender, heavy, or quietly disruptive. Many people come to me feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or off-balance, only to realize that what they’re experiencing is grief. Not just grief after a death, but grief tied to life transitions, changing identities, endings that weren’t chosen, or even milestones that were supposed to feel happy. I don’t believe in “moving on” or “getting over it.” I help clients understand how loss or change has shaped them, and how to move forward in a way that feels integrated, intentional, and true to who they are becoming.
I bring experience across community behavioral health, private practice, and hospice social work, where I support people through some of life’s most vulnerable moments. Many of my clients are thoughtful, insight-oriented people who want to understand why they feel the way they do, not just manage symptoms.
Growth happens in relationships: when you feel safe enough to explore, question, and even make mistakes. If you’re wondering whether what you’re experiencing might be grief, you don’t have to figure that out alone. I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you make sense of this chapter and shape what comes next.
Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
