As an autistic psychologist, I personally understand many of the personal challenges my neurodivergent (ASD/autism, ADHD, learning abilities) clients are facing. I excel by helping you get clarity about your current challenges through psychological testing and what next steps and recommendations may be helpful after testing is completed. Through therapy, I often help clients come to terms with a new diagnosis, understand differences between neurotypical and neurodivergent approaches, and come to accept your identity as a neurodivergent person.

Treatment Approach
- Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
- Biopsychosocial Therapy Takes into account biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental health. It looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.
- Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Gestalt Therapy Encourages awareness of thoughts, feelings, and actions in the present moment. It helps people integrate different parts of themselves for wholeness.
- Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Reality Therapy / Choice Theory Focuses on present choices and taking responsibility for actions. It helps clients create more fulfilling relationships and lives.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: In addition to individual therapy, I am running a support group for neurodivergent adults (people who are at least 18-years-old and who self-identify as being autistic, having ADHD, a learning disability, or other form of neurodivergence). No official diagnosis is needed to join the group. Group topics will include adjusting to diagnosis, being diagnosed later in life, addressing executive functioning challenges, addressing social challenges, identifying strengths, etc. The format of the group is online on Wednesday evenings from 6-7 p.m. MST. People can JOIN ANY TIME, the group is ongoing and as-needed. The group will close at 8 individuals to keep the size of the group small.

I have been working in the therapeutic space since 2014. I graduated with a master's degree at Colorado State University in 2016 in counseling and career development and have helped many clients with career exploration (assessment, self-discovery) and strategic career implementation (job search, networking, resume/cover letter, interviewing). In 2021 I graduated with a PhD in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology from Florida State and finished a postdoc in 2022 with UC Davis' Employee Assistance Program. I then worked at UC Davis in their Counseling and Psychological Services department and focused on individual therapy and group therapy with neurodiverse students (ADHD, ASD, learning abilities, etc.) I also extensive experience performing psychological evaluations both at an in-patient hospital and through a group private practice setting, as well as my own solo practice. I incorporate an eclectic and personable approach in therapy, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Gestalt, Solution-Focused, Trauma Informed, and Mindfulness interventions. Clients have often described my style as a "common sense" approach, focusing on experimentation, and a warm environment. I also identify as a Christian and offer inner healing interventions for those who are open to this approach.
