Treatment Approach

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
  • Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
  • Feminist Therapy Addresses how gender roles, power, and social inequality affect mental health. It empowers clients to challenge limiting beliefs and systems.
  • Hypnotherapy Uses guided relaxation and focus to access the subconscious mind. It is often used for habits, anxiety, and pain management.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
  • Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
  • Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: My approach is trauma focused and neurodivergent affirming. I will help you learn to identify patterns of emotions and behaviors as well as their roots in order to make lasting changes.

Levana Slabodnick Practice Description
Trying to figure out how to be a person in a Neurotypical world as someone who is Autistic and/or ADHD is not easy. Constant pressure and feedback to be someone else leads to masking and burnout over the course of decades. I offer Neurodivergent Affirming Therapy, a style of therapy that encourages deep knowledge of yourself and radical self-acceptance. When you are able to be okay with who you are, you are able to show up authentically to the people and situations that matter the most to you. In addition to my experience and training, I am ADHD myself and can truly understand on a deep level what you are experiencing. I support my clients in finding solutions that work with their individual brains and don't offer generic or predetermined solutions. You are the expert on yourself and it's my job to help you use your strengths to achieve your goals as well as help you incorporate accommodations for your limitations.
