Hi there and welcome to your journey into therapy. I am Jessica and have been in this field for almost 18 years in a variety of settings. I have experience working in a clinic , emergency room, hospital, schools, family court, jails, and in private practice. I have provided individual therapy from adolescence through late adulthood for a variety of issues. I believe therapy should be a personal journey for each patient . We collaborate side by side to develop a treatment plan that helps you achieve your goals. Healing is possible even though we may not believe that in the beginning. I believe that true healing begins by looking at the root of where a problem comes from and seeing how that problem affects our present lives. We begin making connections and building insight so that we can work together to recover and heal each broken pathway. Your journey can start here if you wish. Please reach out when you are ready.

Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: I like to take an eclectic approach to develop a plan for each patient's needs based on a collaborative assessment we create together in our first few sessions. I believe in starting with a person centered approach to get to know each person, identify their struggles, get to the root of each problem, and create solutions together to create a path of healing.

I have always wanted to help others from a young age my heart always bled for what other people were going through. Early on in my career I started out working towards a Bachelor's degree in Psychology to learn more about the field and how I might be able to make a difference. Once I started trading in a Battered Women's Shelter and working in a community Mental Health Program I knew I was there I wanted to be to help try to make a difference in people's lives. I moved on to complete my graduate work in a Master's in Counseling Psychology and a Master's in Forensic Psychology. I am licensed here in NYS as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been working in the field for 18 years now. I have worked in a variety of settings that have taught me so much while I have met so many amazing folks. I have landed working in private practice which was one of my life long dreams. I work everyday to try to heal a part of someone and to instill hope that we can each live the fulfilling, happy life that we are in control of.
I have specialized in crisis management and emergency services for over 10 years working at a local community hospital.
I have specialized in anger management doing group therapy for years and becoming a Certified Anger Management Specialist here at my practice to help folks regulate their emotions and live lives free of emotional dysregulation.,
I have worked on certifications as a Clinically Certifed Trauma Professional and Clinically Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional to help further my practice. I now work more closely and specialize in treatment of PTSD, OCD, and other Anxiety related disorders.
