Lost & Found Counseling, Jennifer Cranford
Licensed Professional Counselor, MA, LPC, CAGCS and Brainspotting certified
Have you lost your way? Do you feel misunderstood? Do you feel alone?
Perhaps your life was headed in one direction when you were hit by the unthinkable that suddenly changed the entire trajectory of your life and now you feel lost, alone, and without direction.
Or perhaps you are in a relationship with someone that you love that has gradually become mentally or spiritually abusive and you have lost the person inside yourself that you used to be.
My role is to give you a safe place to process your story, aloud and uncensored. I will listen for the themes of your journey and help you identify what you still need for your new path of hope-- whether it's practical tools, life-giving relationships, new perspectives, or spiritual healing. I will be there to support you, as you take one step at a time to walk the path of life in the freedom that God desires for you.

Treatment Approach
- Brainspotting A therapy that uses eye positions to access and process unresolved trauma. It helps release emotional and physical pain held in the body.
- Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
Approach Description: My style resembles a person-centered approach with a focus on holistic healing. For this reason, in addition to in-office counseling, I also offer the alternative of walk-and-therapy for those individuals who prefer a non-traditional setting for therapy. Walk-and-Talk therapy provides the usual benefits of traditional therapy but is enhanced by movement, experiential activities, & the ability to connect with nature through mindfulness. It is ideal for individuals who would like to prioritize both therapy and exercise but who lack the time to do both on a regular basis.

As you might have guessed from the name of my counseling practice, I also have had hard seasons in life where I have felt lost and without hope. The people who have meant the most to me during these dark times were safe people who cared for me unconditionally and listened to me while I wandered through the desert of my soul. Counseling is, in many ways, an extension of my story as I now listen to and encourage other fellow wanderers.
My role, then, is to give you a safe place to process your story, aloud and uncensored, until you feel truly heard and understood. I will listen for the themes of your journey so far, and together we will create a new story of a hopeful future. I will help you identify what you still need for your story—whether it’s practical tools, life-giving relationships, new perspectives, or spiritual healing. I will be there to support you, as you take one step at a time to walk the road of life in the freedom that God desires for you.
