BPD shows up differently for everyone, and I will take time to understand exactly how it manifests in your life. My strong belief is that BPD can be understood in terms of your childhood experiences, and that there is an explanation for how and why you feel/act/think the way you do. When we understand the roots, we can develop more compassion and reduce the shame. We will also work on your relationships, and part of that is looking at the relationship between us, where difficult patterns can show themselves. This means we can explore them in real time, with compassion and curiosity, which is a rich way of deepening your understanding of yourself. My approach is trauma-informed and anti-pathologising. Rather than asking 'what's wrong with me?' we'll move to a place of 'what happened to me?'. You also may not have an official diagnosis, which is completely okay too. Whether you have a diagnosis or not, we will move at a pace that feels right for you, taking time to understand what it’s like to live in your body, your relationships, and your world.  

Psychodynamic therapy works best with BPD patients who has capacity for insight, ability to modulate regression and with little need for direction and guidance as well as a stable environment.
