Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: my work integrates evidence based modalities tailored to each client’s needs and goals. i use EMDR therapy to support trauma processing and reduce distress connected to past experiences. CBT is used to help identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns while strengthening coping skills. motivational interviewing supports clients in clarifying values, increasing readiness for change, and navigating ambivalence. solution focused brief therapy helps highlight strengths, build momentum, and focus on practical, achievable steps forward.

Education: i earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Hunter College and a master of social work degree from Florida Atlantic University. my clinical training includes extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient settings, with a focus on trauma informed care and severe and persistent mental illness.

alchemy healing and counseling is a trauma informed psychotherapy practice offering telehealth therapy to adults. i am licensed in florida and mississippi and provide telehealth services to clients located in both states. i work with individuals who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or disconnected from themselves and their needs. many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, or the long term impact of trauma.
my approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in both evidence based practices and deep relational attunement. therapy with me is not about fixing you. it is about helping you understand yourself more fully, build emotional safety, and develop tools that support lasting change. my clinical background includes work with complex trauma and severe and persistent mental illness across inpatient and outpatient settings, including work with veterans.
