therapist: Benjamin Conner Trauma To Peace Therapy,

I use a combination of evidence based practices proven over time to lead individuals from trauma to peace. I offer you a pathway from pain and fatigue to peace and empowerment. This comes from one who has endured it. I understand trying to make it to the next minute or the next day and it seeming impossible. I was tired too. I have a different life now. I don't believe in people needing counseling weekly for years on end. Lets work together for relief. You will overcome the obstacles in your way and build skills that help you take on whatever comes next. I understand treating these issues with EMDR, CBT, ACT and more, guiding healing for individuals and families. Working, parenting, and relationships are difficult on their own, and with trauma, anxiety, or depression in the background it can seem impossible. Treating those injuries from the past and present can change your life, strengthen your identity, and heal your relationships. Reach out to me, lets build some trust and get some work done that makes your life and your mind feel different. We are 100% online, no need to travel, we can work with you anywhere in Texas or Utah.

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
  • Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
Approach Description: I have what we call an eclectic approach which just means that it does not fit neatly into one single therapeutic modality. This is because I have gathered techniques from multiple evidence based practices and life experience to form a framework that leads to positive outcomes. There are various needs you have as a client and I have found a variety of ways to meet those needs. We will use the best of several therapies to find the strength and healing that serves you.

Benjamin Conner Trauma To Peace Therapy Practice Description
My practice is about meeting you where you are and working together. Everything we do together stays confidentially in our working sessions. I have developed my therapy methods through my personal work as a client and then built it into a pathway to internal balance and peace from years of positive outcomes with my clients. We achieve resilience by distinguishing between what we can and cannot control, accepting uncomfortable realities and private experiences without avoidance, challenging and restructuring maladaptive cognitive patterns, and reprocessing past traumas that impede authentic living, all in the service of taking committed action to create and pursue an identity, and meaningful, personally chosen, value-aligned life.
