Jill Verofsky

Licensed Professional Counselor, M.S., L.P.C., N.C.C.
 therapist: Jill Verofsky,
Online in Pennsylvania (Online Only)
Throughout our lives, we will all experience times of great joy and sadness, but how many of us really know what to do with those situations emotionally? My approach to therapy is realistic and person-centered. Of course, we want to get to root issues, but first we need to "stop the bleeding" and get our daily lives to a more functional point.

Client Focus

Session Format: Individual sessions.
Age Specialty: Adult

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
  • Jungian Therapy Draws on Carl Jung’s ideas about archetypes, dreams, and the collective unconscious. It helps people explore deeper layers of meaning.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
  • Psychoanalytic Therapy Based on Freud’s theories, it explores unconscious conflicts and past experiences. It seeks to bring hidden issues into awareness.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy I utilize an approach that is client-centered and combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling. My counseling style is one that is warm, welcoming, open-minded, and collaborative. Learn ways to reframe your thoughts to have a more realistic approach life's issues and also learn ways to manage stress. Increase resiliency and ability to recover from trauma, past or present, and handle challenging emotions in a beneficial manner.
