- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
Approach Description: My counseling approach is rooted in Adlerian Psychology, a holistic, strengths-based model that emphasizes encouragement, purpose, and healthy relationships. As a trained Adlerian therapist, I believe that people are not defined by their struggles but by their capacity to grow, heal, and contribute meaningfully to the lives of others. Therapy is a collaborative process where we explore the beliefs, experiences, and relationship patterns that influence your current challenges while identifying practical strategies for lasting change.
I work with individuals and couples in a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment that fosters trust, self-awareness, and personal growth. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I seek to understand the whole person—their family experiences, values, culture, spirituality, and life goals. Together, we build on your strengths, increase resilience, improve communication, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
My work with couples is especially informed by family systems theory and Adlerian principles of equality, mutual respect, encouragement, and cooperation. I help partners move beyond cycles of conflict and discouragement to create stronger emotional connections and healthier patterns of communication.
I also have additional professional training in providing culturally sensitive and objective immigration mental health evaluations for immigration court, recognizing the unique emotional challenges that often accompany the immigration journey.
Whether you are seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, or personal growth, my goal is to help you experience greater hope, belonging, and the confidence to move forward with purpose.

The Caruso Wellness Center, PLLC
At The Caruso Wellness Center, we believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. Our practice is grounded in Adlerian Psychology, an encouragement-based approach that sees people as more than a diagnosis. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" we ask, "What happened to you, what gives your life meaning, and where do you want to go from here?" Therapy is a collaborative journey where we work together to identify patterns of discouragement, strengthen your natural abilities, and cultivate the courage to create a more fulfilling life.
While we provide counseling for individuals, our greatest passion is helping couples restore connection, improve communication, and build healthier, more satisfying relationships. Whether you are struggling with conflict, recovering from infidelity, preparing for marriage, navigating a K-1 visa relationship, or simply feeling disconnected, we help couples move away from blame and criticism toward mutual respect, cooperation, encouragement, and genuine friendship. Our structured Adlerian Couples Therapy model equips partners with practical tools that foster lasting change rather than temporary solutions.
We also specialize in immigration psychological evaluations for asylum, VAWA petitions, hardship waivers, U visas, T visas, and other immigration matters. We understand that immigration is more than a legal process—it is often an emotional journey marked by trauma, uncertainty, separation, and hope. Every evaluation is conducted with clinical excellence, cultural sensitivity, and compassion while meeting the evidentiary standards expected by immigration attorneys and the courts.
Our counseling philosophy is holistic, recognizing that emotional well-being is deeply connected to our relationships, purpose, spirituality, work, and sense of belonging. We welcome individuals and couples from all backgrounds, cultures, faith traditions, and life experiences into a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment where they can be heard with dignity and respect.
At The Caruso Wellness Center, we don't simply help people manage problems—we help them discover courage, deepen relationships, and create lives filled with greater purpose, connection, and hope. Whether you are seeking therapy, relationship enrichment, or an immigration mental health evaluation, our commitment is to walk alongside you with empathy, professional expertise, and genuine encouragement every step of the way.
