From the outside, it may look like you’re doing everything right. You work hard, care deeply, show up for others, and hold yourself to high standards. You notice the details, strive to do your best, and rarely settle for “good enough.” These qualities can be powerful strengths—but they can also leave you exhausted when the pressure to get it right starts taking over.
Maybe you overthink decisions, replay conversations, worry about disappointing people, or constantly wonder if you’re doing enough. Maybe you’ve accomplished a lot but still feel like you should be doing more.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and there’s nothing wrong with you.
I specialize in working with perfectionist and high-achieving teens and young adults who are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, overthinking, people-pleasing, academic pressure, and the expectations they place on themselves. I don’t believe perfectionism is something you need to get rid of. I see it as a superpower.
Therapy is an opportunity to understand your perfectionism, recognize the strengths underneath it, and learn how to use those strengths in ways that support the life you actually want. Together, we’ll build self-trust, confidence, flexibility, and self-compassion—without asking you to become less ambitious or care less.
As a therapist and dance/movement therapist, I believe your body has important information that your mind may be overlooking. My approach is warm, collaborative, creative, and practical, combining talk therapy with mindfulness and body-based techniques.
Therapy with me isn’t about becoming a different person. It’s about feeling more comfortable being the person you already are.
You don’t have to choose between being successful and feeling good. You can keep your drive, your high standards, and the parts of perfectionism that make you who you are—while creating more space for confidence, connection, flexibility, and joy.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Dance / Movement Therapy Uses movement and body awareness to express emotions and improve mental health. It can increase confidence, reduce stress, and support healing.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Sandplay Therapy Uses sand trays and miniature figures to allow symbolic expression. It is especially helpful for children and trauma survivors.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, creative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own experience. I don't believe therapy is about fixing what's “wrong” with you or giving you a list of things you should be doing differently. It's about creating a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and become more curious about yourself without judgment.
This is especially important when working with perfectionists and high achievers. I don't see perfectionism as something that needs to be eliminated. I see it as a superpower. Your drive, high standards, attention to detail, sensitivity, and desire to do well can be incredible strengths. Together, we'll explore when those strengths are working for you and when they may be leaving you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or never quite good enough.
I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), relational therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy, mindfulness, and creative approaches such as Sandtray Therapy. Rather than relying on one method, I tailor therapy to you, your goals, and what feels most helpful in the moment.
ACT can be especially helpful when you're caught in overthinking, self-criticism, anxiety, or the pressure to get everything right. Instead of trying to silence difficult thoughts or emotions, we'll work on changing your relationship with them so they have less control over your choices. You'll learn to notice what's happening, reconnect with what matters to you, and move forward with greater flexibility and self-trust.
I also believe that therapy happens in relationship. Feeling genuinely seen, heard, and accepted can be a powerful part of the process. Our relationship gives us a place to explore patterns, practice being yourself without having to perform or get it “right,” and discover new ways of relating to yourself and the people around you.
As a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, I also recognize that your body is part of your story. Sometimes your body knows you're overwhelmed before your mind catches up. Through movement, body awareness, mindfulness, and nonverbal expression, we can pay attention to what you're experiencing physically and emotionally. You don't have to be a dancer or have any movement experience to benefit from this approach.
Creative approaches, including Sandtray Therapy, can offer another way to explore experiences that may be difficult to put into words. Using images, symbols, movement, and storytelling can help you look at something from a different perspective and uncover insights that traditional conversation alone may not reach.
Ultimately, my goal isn't simply to help you “manage” your symptoms. I want therapy to help you understand yourself, trust yourself, and create a life that feels like your own. You don't have to become less ambitious, care less, or lower your standards. We can work together to help you hold onto the strengths that make you who you are while creating more room for confidence, flexibility, connection, self-compassion, and joy.

At The Dance of Therapy, I work with high-achieving teens, young adults, and adults who identify as perfectionists and are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, overthinking, people-pleasing, academic or career pressure, and life transitions. My clients are often capable, motivated, and successful, but may feel exhausted by the pressure they put on themselves to get things right, meet expectations, and keep everything together.
I don’t believe perfectionism is something that needs to be fixed. I see perfectionism as a superpower. Your high standards, attention to detail, ambition, dedication, and desire to do well can be meaningful strengths. The goal of therapy is to understand those strengths and help you use them in ways that support you rather than leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or never quite good enough.
I offer a warm, collaborative, and practical approach that combines traditional talk therapy with mindfulness, somatic and dance/movement therapy techniques. We may explore the thoughts and patterns behind overthinking and self-doubt while also paying attention to what your body is communicating. Creative and body-based approaches can offer new ways to understand emotions, build self-awareness, and develop tools that feel natural to you.
For teens, therapy may focus on managing academic and social pressure, perfectionism, anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and the expectations they place on themselves. For young adults and adults, therapy may support navigating college, career decisions, relationships, changing identities, major life transitions, and the pressure to have everything figured out.
Therapy with me isn't about becoming less ambitious, lowering your standards, or changing who you are. It's about learning how to be successful without constantly feeling like you have something to prove.
Whether you're struggling with perfectionism, feeling overwhelmed by expectations, or simply know that the way you've been doing things isn't working anymore, therapy can give you space to slow down, understand yourself more deeply, and create meaningful change.
At The Dance of Therapy, I believe you don't have to choose between achievement and well-being. You can honor your drive and high standards while developing greater confidence, self-trust, flexibility, self-compassion, and joy.
My practice offers a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, explore what's beneath the stress, and develop healthier ways of coping. Together, we'll work to quiet the inner critic, build self-confidence, improve emotional regulation, and create a stronger sense of balance and authenticity in your life.
I take an integrative approach that combines talk therapy, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), positive psychology, and body-based techniques through Dance/Movement Therapy. This unique approach helps clients gain insight, process emotions, and create lasting change in ways that go beyond words alone.
Whether you're navigating academic pressure, relationship challenges, a major life transition, or simply feeling stuck in the cycle of never feeling "good enough," therapy can help. My goal is to help you move from surviving and striving to feeling more connected, confident, and present in your life.
