Hope Infusion Counseling & Consulting, LLC, Cathy Arrington, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, MFT, CPCS
I'm thankful for the experience I've had for almost 20 years in the field to which clients have been longterm and provide awesome feedback that the offices/therapy environment are comfortable, relaxing, encouraging, and convenient to them. I'm promt with returning calls and communication as life is ever changing before, during and after sessions. I have a diverse background in Corporate America, Emergency Services as a Mobile Counselor, Jail and Prison environments as a counselor as well as private practice. Also, I provide supervision to Interns and Associate level Professional Counselors since 2017. Over the years, I've developed stronger therapeutic skills, peer support, and love to research new skills/approaches to better serve clients starting at age 6-80.

- Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.

- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.

- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Play Therapy Uses toys, games, and creative play to help children express emotions. It is especially useful when children can’t fully verbalize their feelings.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Reality Therapy / Choice Theory Focuses on present choices and taking responsibility for actions. It helps clients create more fulfilling relationships and lives.

I have been practicing since 2009 and my experience in the field as well as personally helped me when someone is seeking assistance with anxiety, stress, grief, depression, life changes, career and relationships. My offices additionally offer Play and Art Therapy as well as other alternative approaches for younger clients. At both the Lawrenceville and Hiawassee offices whether in person or virtual, you will find Professional, warm and friendly service (sometimes we even use humor when welcomed and applicable). Upon request, I offer a Christian and other religous perspectives as my backgound allows me to assist at this level as well.
As I mentioned in my personal statement, I believe in quality and comfort of service, giving back to the counseling community, and helping clients improve in the areas they feel are therapuetically needed. I spend time outside of the traditional required Continuing Education to enahance my skillset and knowledge in order to provide the best service possible.
Clients have often reported that they feel scheduling through Sondermind or me directly is easy and takes the pressure off of them to wait on return phone calls and appointment times. They additionally report the same with the billing system and are thankful that I help explain the process when needed.
I take several private insurances as well as work with the VA to serve our veterans and families. We offer self pay rates varying from $105-$111.
Age groups served are 6-80 (and older if able and willing!)
