Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: I believe meaningful change begins by recognizing your strengths, understanding your experiences, and identifying what you want your life to look like moving forward. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to your individual goals.
I primarily incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify practical solutions, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and develop healthier ways of navigating life’s challenges.
I also integrate techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, psychological flexibility, and values-based decision-making.
As a marriage and family therapist intern, I also consider how relationships, family dynamics, and patterns of communication influence emotional well-being.
My goal isn’t to tell you how to live your life, but to help you develop the insight, confidence, and tools needed to create changes that feel meaningful and sustainable. Therapy is a partnership, and we’ll work together at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you.

Hi, I’m Isaiah Millstein, a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (RMFTI) in Florida. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, without pressure to have everything figured out before walking through the door.
I work with adolescents (ages 12+), adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, burnout, self-esteem challenges, identity exploration, LGBTQ+ concerns, and life transitions.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I recognize that everyone comes into therapy with different experiences, strengths, and goals. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor our work together to meet your individual needs.
I have a particular passion for supporting LGBTQ+ individuals as they navigate identity development, relationships, self-acceptance, and the unique challenges that can come with being authentically themselves. My goal is to create an inclusive, affirming environment where every client feels respected and supported.
I also enjoy helping individuals strengthen communication, establish healthier boundaries, manage overwhelming emotions, and develop greater confidence in themselves and their relationships.
Whether you’re looking to work through something specific or simply want a space to better understand yourself, therapy can be an opportunity to discover new perspectives and build upon the strengths you already possess.
I offer both in-person therapy in the Clearwater and Valrico areas and convenient telehealth sessions throughout Florida. I welcome the opportunity to connect and explore how we can work together toward your goals.
