Has your relationship become an angry, sad, or scary place leaving you feeling alone, hurt, and discouraged? Are you and your partner feeling lost in conflict cycles you don’t understand and desperately want to change? Many of the couples I work with come to therapy feeling just like you. I understand how much courage it takes to reach out for help and to let another person get inside your relationship, especially when you are feeling so vulnerable. If you are searching for a safe place to explore what's not working in your relationship, and support in creating solutions, I can help. My practice focuses exclusively on couple therapy. In addition to thousands of hours working with couples in distress, I have completed hundreds of hours of clinical training specific to couples therapy, including advanced training in both Emotion Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method Couple Therapy. I am truly passionate about helping couples heal and flourish.

Client Focus

Session Format: Couple, Individual sessions.
Age Specialty: Adult, Senior
Demographic Expertise: Buddhist, Christian, LGBTQ+ clients.

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
  • Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
  • Transpersonal Therapy Integrates spirituality and higher states of consciousness with psychology. It encourages growth beyond the individual self.
Approach Description: Many couples only come to therapy when their relationship is in distress, sometimes deep distress, wondering if their relationship can be saved and often desperate to save it. As your relationship therapist, I help you understand your conflict cycle, address the unmet emotional needs underlying it, and begin to create the love and connection you long for. Our initial focus in couple therapy is to create a safe space in which the two of you can discover how to be who you want to be together. Only you can know that. My job is to help you discover it. Integrating attachment science, mindfulness, and neurobiology, our first sessions will focus on understanding your conflict cycle and creating a path toward de-escalation and emotional reconnection.
