Hi, my name is Anna. I hope this page helps you see if we'd be a good fit! My journey to therapy actually started in a dance studio. I was working as a teaching artist and performer when one of my students—a boy on the autism spectrum—joined my class at his therapist's suggestion.Watching him open up and grow through creative expression was incredible. That's when it clicked for me: the arts and therapy together were something powerful, something I needed to understand more deeply. The next fall, I enrolled at New York University for my master's degree. Now this is what I do! Life can be wonderful and challenging in equal measure—and you don't have to navigate the hard parts alone. Together, we'll work to help you feel more connected: to yourself, to others, and to the life you want to be living.

Treatment Approach
- Art Therapy Uses creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpture as a way to express emotions. It is especially helpful when words are hard to find.
- Drama Therapy Uses role-play, storytelling, and theater techniques to explore problems and emotions. It helps people practice new ways of relating to others.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Play Therapy Uses toys, games, and creative play to help children express emotions. It is especially useful when children can’t fully verbalize their feelings.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
Approach Description: My approach starts with the belief that you’re the expert on your own life. From there, we can just talk, or use creative expression—art, stories, writing, music—as another way to explore what’s going on for you or simply help us get started. There’s no "right" way to create here. Instead, the process itself helps you access insights and feelings that might be hard to reach through talking alone. Together, we'll create a colaborative space where you can show up authentically, discover what's going on, and move through it. It’s about growth, self-discovery, and trusting your own process.
