Treatment Approach
- Art Therapy Uses creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpture as a way to express emotions. It is especially helpful when words are hard to find.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
- Feminist Therapy Addresses how gender roles, power, and social inequality affect mental health. It empowers clients to challenge limiting beliefs and systems.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
Approach Description: I utilize different approaches in session, depending on the client and their needs and preferences. I do not stick with one modality, and I tend to use a combination of different approaches. My clinical experience includes working with adolescents, young adults, and adults across a range of treatment settings, including residential treatment, substance use treatment, and crisis services. These experiences have provided me with the opportunity to support individuals experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, life transitions, and challenging circumstances.

- Online Therapy Details: I offer virtual sessions through a secure confidential online platform.
I offer therapy sessions in person and virtual/telehealth. I offer therapy to teenagers, young adults, and adults. I utilize different therapeutic methods, which are listed in my profile. Over the course of my career, I have learned different techniques and modalities to assist clients and their needs.
For clients who are interested, I also offer Art Therapy in addition to talk therapy. As a board-certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), I have the ability to bring creativity into our work when you’re interested. Art therapy doesn’t require you to be “artistic”—creative expression can simply offer another way to explore feelings and experiences when words don’t always come easily.
