If you're seeking a collaborative therapeutic working relationship, then I might be a good match as a provider. It's important for individuals to gain insight into their behavioral patterns, understand underlying reasons for their current relational dynamics, but also have concrete ways in which they can pursue change. I'm a psychodynamic trained clinician, but also utilize other modalities such as CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy).

Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
Approach Description: Psychodynamic treatment primarily focuses on developing deeper insight regarding presenting symptoms, behavioral patterns and relational dynamics. However, some individuals prefer a more structured approach such as CBT, where they can track negative cognitions and learn skills to reduce these distorted and maladaptive thoughts, which are linked to depressive and anxiety symptoms. A Rogerian approach is one where a therapist leans in to creating the space for exploration and empowering the person to see that they actually have the answers to many of their presenting problems.
