Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: My approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and non-judgmental. I draw primarily on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you understand the thoughts and patterns that keep you stuck and build practical coping skills you can use between sessions. For anxiety and OCD, I use exposure and response prevention (ERP); for PTSD, Prolonged Exposure; and for grief that feels stuck, Prolonged Grief Therapy. I also draw on interpersonal therapy along with CBT for those dealing with perinatal and postpartum adjustment. For parents of anxious children, I offer SPACE, a parent-focused program developed at Yale.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified perinatal mental health specialist helping adults move past fear, work through loss, and make lasting change. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and together we build the motivation and practical coping skills to take active steps toward the life you want.
Anxiety is one of the most common mental health concerns. "What ifs" can quietly build walls around your life and lead you to avoid social situations, worry constantly, or feel on edge. I work with social anxiety, panic, phobias, generalized anxiety, and OCD, using CBT and exposure-based approaches to help you face what you've been avoiding and respond in new ways.
Pregnancy, reproductive challenges, loss, and the transition to parenthood can bring sadness, loneliness, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or difficulty bonding. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, often called postpartum depression, are common and treatable. As a PMH-C, I help new and expecting parents find relief, build coping tools, and regain confidence. You don't have to go through it alone.
Grief is a natural response to loss, but sometimes it stays intense and makes it hard to move forward. I'm trained in Prolonged Grief Therapy (formerly Complicated Grief Therapy), a structured approach for grief that feels stuck. Therapy can help you find relief from painful emotions and continue to love the person you lost in a new way.
I also work with young adults and college students, life transitions, relationships and peer stress, self-esteem and body image, depression, ADHD, trauma and PTSD, and perimenopause and menopause. For parents of anxious children, I offer SPACE, a parent-focused program developed at Yale; I meet with parents only.
