Treatment Approach

  • Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
Approach Description: My approach is warm, compassionate, and caring. My approach is open and encouraging and maximizes the value of self-exploration. I utilize Person-Centered therapy to build a warm and emotionally safe environment for my clients. I teach clients CBT principles to help them understand the relationship between their thoughts and behaviors and utilize DBT interventions to help clients develop and strengthen tools to self-regulate. I am trained in oncological services, crisis response and I am a certified trauma clinician. These additional trainings help me to work well with clients who may be experiencing high-risk symptoms.
