As an experienced psychologist with training in EMDR, integrative mental health, and as a Certified Brain Coach with the Amen Clinics, I provide a holistic approach that considers biological factors, psychological factors, social factors and spiritual factors. I will collaborate with you in helping you reach your goals in a supportive and safe environment. I have worked and trained in many different settings with a culturally diverse group of individuals including private practice, victims of violence clinic, attention and learning center, social security and veteran disability exams, corrections, foster youth, psychiatric hospital, forensic psychology, custody evaluations, parent coordination, substance abuse treatment center, college counseling, and long-term care working with with the geriatric population. In, addition, I have worked many years with attention and learning disabilities, disruptive behaviors in children, child abuse, Christian counseling, psycho-educational assessment, and personality and psychological assessment of children and adults.

Treatment Approach

  • Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.

Education: Bachelor of Science from San Diego State University in 1992. She received Psychology Doctorate (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Family Psychology, from Azusa Pacific University in CA in 2001.
