I understand that your life is complex and there are various demands and expectations at different life stages that can be impacted by situational and mental health struggles. It's important to be mindful of the interaction between those demands and your stage of life. My experiences are diverse. I have worked for over twenty years with individuals, couples, and groups across the lifespan and socioeconomic spectrum by providing a range of clinical services including assessment, consultation, and psychotherapy. I know how challenging asking for help can be and I strive to work collaboratively with clients, both validating your feelings and experiences while helping you to uncover patterns and obstacles that are holding you back from reaching your goals. I seek to provide treatment in an integrative way, utilizing Solution-Focused, Interpersonal, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Using these modalities we will focus not just on difficulties, but on areas of strength and positive coping mechanisms. As part of my work, I am always happy to collaborate with medical doctors, attorneys, in-home therapeutic teams, and school systems to ensure that all providers working with you or your family are in sync with the goals you are striving to achieve.

Client Focus

Session Format: Couple, Family, Individual sessions.
Age Specialty: Adult, Elder, Young Adult

Treatment Approach

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
  • Interpersonal
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
Approach Description: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the primary modality I use within sessions. I see this as a flexible approach that allows for maximum collaboration with clients. Although we focus on present and future goals, I am also interested in learning about your past and seeing if any past patterns are getting in the way of your goals. Through CBT, you will learn new techniques (both cognitive and behavioral) for more effective coping with life's stressors. Although I do long-term therapy with many clients, there are times when a very solution-focused approach is best. This type of therapy is best for specific problems to be solved in a time-limited way. It is a very future-oriented approach focused on behavioral change.
