Approach Description: I work with cognitive-behavioral approaches: general CBT, prolonged exposure, schema therapy, CBT for LGBTQ+ people. 1. CBT: Cognitive-behavioral therapy is a form of therapy that helps people cope with conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, short-term requests in therapy. It involves identifying and changing negative thoughts and behaviors that contribute to the problem. It also involves learning coping skills and problem-solving strategies. 2. Prolonged Exposure: Prolonged exposure is a method of working with clinical PTSD. It is a short-term and effective approach that helps people overcome their fear and distress caused by traumatic events. It involves gradually confronting the traumatic memories and situations that trigger the symptoms. 3. Schema Therapy: Schema therapy is an approach that works with personality and character. It was originally developed for the therapy of personality disorders. But now this approach is also used for people without personality disorders. Schema therapy helps people identify and modify their maladaptive schemas, which are deep-rooted beliefs and patterns that affect their emotions and behaviors. Schema therapy also helps people meet their emotional needs and develop healthy coping skills. 4. Transdiagnostic LGBTQ+-affirmative CBT: Transdiagnostic LGBTQ+-affirmative CBT is an approach that helps LGBTQ+ people to accept themselves more deeply, feel confident in themselves and their abilities, and get tools to cope with the so-called LGBTQ+-related stress. I am a psychologist and a cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist. I also work in the schema-therapy approach, which is an integrative form of psychotherapy that combines elements of cognitive, behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic therapies. I have additional qualifications in process-oriented therapy, group psychoanalysis, and art therapy. I have been working with adults and couples for my entire life. Sometimes, I also work with teenagers. I have led a therapeutic group for adolescents (group psychoanalysis) and a therapeutic group for elderly people (art therapy). I have also worked in an organization that provides psychological support to cancer patients and their relatives. In my work, I try to maintain a balance between support and motivation for change. I know how difficult it can be to seek help from a psychologist for the first time. Or to come to a new psychologist, even if you have already worked with another one before. I try to create a safe and supportive atmosphere in our shared space.
