I especially enjoy working with couples using research proven approaches which help you understand the challenges to relationship and then coaching you to develop the skills and practices which will help you create the relationship that you desire. I have over 25 years experience in private practice. I am a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and I am well trained to work with people experiencing both relationship and personal/individual struggles. As a clinician trained in relational approaches I believe that your relationships including romantic, family, work and community relationships play a big role in either helping or hindering your sense of well-being. My focus is on you and your connections to your world. This means, you never have to worry about me trying to "get into your head". I will listen and speak with you respectfully about your experiences and we will work together to find solutions that fit your culture and your life-style. I am a published author and researcher in the field. I serve on the editorial boards of the "Journal of Marital and Family Therapy" the "Journal of Systemic Therapy" and the "International Journal of Narrative Therapy and Community Work".
