Hi, I’m Eric Tivers, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider based in Illinois. I’m also AuDHD, queer, and deeply committed to helping other neurodivergent adults build lives that feel more grounded, authentic, and sustainable.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing all the “right” things but still can’t seem to keep up, you’re not alone — and you’re not broken. I work with ADHDers, autistic adults, and other neurodivergent humans who are navigating overwhelm, burnout, emotional regulation, and self-acceptance. My style is down-to-earth, compassionate, and direct. I blend therapy, coaching, and practical strategies that help you turn insight into real change.
I’m also sex-positive, kink-aware, and LGBTQ+ affirming. Many of my clients are exploring identity, communication, or relationships in ways that don’t fit neatly into a box — and that’s exactly where we can do our best work. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as your full self, without shame or judgment.
Outside of therapy, I host the ADHD reWired podcast and lead intensive coaching and accountability groups for adults with ADHD — communities that have helped hundreds of people connect, grow, and thrive.
Whether you’re seeking therapy for ADHD, autism, trauma, or simply wanting to feel more at ease in your own skin, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Let’s find a way to make life work with your brain, not against it.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.

My practice is built around one simple belief: you’re not broken — your brain just works differently.
I specialize in working with adults who are neurodivergent — including ADHDers, autistic adults, and those who identify as AuDHD. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling frustrated that traditional systems of productivity, motivation, or communication don’t seem to “stick.” Together, we work to untangle the internalized shame that often comes from feeling “too much,” “too scattered,” or “too sensitive,” and instead learn to build structure and self-compassion that actually fit your life.
My approach blends therapy, coaching, and accountability, drawing from evidence-based practices like CBT, ACT, and mindfulness — but always filtered through a neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed lens. I believe in working collaboratively: you bring your lived experience, and I bring tools, perspective, and structure. The goal isn’t to fix you — it’s to help you understand yourself, so you can create sustainable change and meaningful connection.
I also provide a safe, affirming space for LGBTQ+ clients and am proudly sex-positive and kink-aware. Many of the people I work with are exploring identity, nontraditional relationships, or ways to align their values with their authentic selves. I understand that therapy is most effective when it honors every part of who you are — your brain, your body, your sexuality, your culture, and your community.
Because I’m AuDHD myself, I understand the lived reality of sensory overload, burnout, and executive dysfunction — and how deeply these experiences can affect relationships, work, and self-worth. I bring empathy, humor, and a deep respect for the neurodivergent experience to every session.
In addition to therapy, I’m the founder of ADHD reWired, where I lead group coaching and accountability programs for adults with ADHD. Over the past decade, these programs have helped more than 1,200 people learn how to plan, prioritize, and follow through — all while connecting with a supportive community that truly gets it.
Therapy with me is collaborative, creative, and grounded in real life. We might use structure, scheduling tools, and body-based awareness, or sometimes we’ll slow down and just work through the tough stuff together. The work is both practical and deeply human.
If you’re ready to move from self-blame to self-understanding — and to build a life that works with your brain, not against it — I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
