I am certified in EMDR and I pride myself on creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can safely process difficult experiences. I believe healing happens through processing the past and shifting the narratives that contribute to patterns in your daily life that lead to depression, anxiety and distress. I specialize in working with adults navigating the effects of trauma, specifically birth trauma, medical trauma, women’s health concerns, sexual assault, generational trauma and childhood sexual abuse.

Treatment Approach
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
Approach Description: As a Certified EMDR Therapist, I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process distressing experiences, reduce the emotional impact of trauma, and move toward healing with greater clarity. EMDR can support individuals struggling with trauma and negative beliefs in a way that helps the brain naturally reprocess and integrate difficult memories.

I have been a therapist for 6 years but over 10 years ago I became an advocate and started working with survivors of sexual and domestic violence. I have also worked on college campuses and community mental health settings. These experiences deepened my knowledge on working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at various life stages.
Due to the complexity of each person’s story and culture my approach is collaborative and person-centered. I encourage you to set the pace and the goals, and I will support you in reaching those goals.
