Everybody goes through challenges in life. Some struggles are harder to overcome than others and require the assistance of a highly trained and compassionate therapist. My goal is to provide a comfortable, non-judgmental environment, in which to receive the support and treatment needed to get relief from the symptoms that are bothering you most. I utilize a warm, empathic approach to form a strong therapeutic alliance and work collaboratively with my patients. Treatment Approach
- Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
Approach Description: I strive to help every individual that I treat utilizing a non-judgmental and empathic stance. Upon formulating an accurate diagnosis The patient and I develop goals together, and I utilize the most appropriate evidence based approach to helping to overcome his or her difficulties and function better.
