Treatment Approach
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: I weave together a wide variety of tools to help my people overcome trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and chronic stress and overwhelm. I'm focused on you and creating a warm, friendly, and nonjudgemental space for you to feel seen, heard, and understood. Then when you're ready, and only when you're ready, I offer interventions like EMDR and somatic-based practices to help you gently feel your feelings without going into overwhelm and process anything that's standing in your way of leading the life you want. It is my honor and privilege to serve you as your counselor. I also like to laugh a lot and make therapy as playful and fun as possible. After seeing me, my folks report feeling empowered and energized to pursue travel, speaking engagements, explore their pasts, and the list is endless really. Freeing you from past pain is my goal. Let's do this work together!

My approach to therapy is that of being warm and welcoming so that you can feel safe enough to share what's on your heart and mind. Perhaps you want to heal from past trauma or depression, grief or anxiety. Maybe you just want a safe and supportive space to feel seen and heard. No matter what your needs are, I've got you covered with a variety of methods like EMDR and mindfulness o help you get in touch with your inner experiences with a lot of tenderness. It's only when we can acknowledge what's happening inside us that we can begin to make change. I'm thrilled when I witness your growth and feel empowered to change your life.
