Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Adlerian Therapy Focuses on understanding a person’s sense of belonging and purpose. It helps people overcome feelings of inferiority and create healthier relationships.
  • Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: I am eclectic by design and person-centered at heart. That means I draw from a wide toolkit of evidence-based approaches and build something that actually fits you, your brain, your story, and your goals. No rigid frameworks, no cookie-cutter treatment plans. Just thoughtful, strengths-based therapy that meets you exactly where you are and builds from there. We'll decide together where you want to go and how we're going to get there!

Jenna Poppe Practice Description
I'm really glad you found your way here and I can't wait to meet you! My practice was built for people who have spent too long feeling like they don't quite fit... in therapy, in relationships, in a world that wasn't designed with their brain in mind. If that resonates, you are in exactly the right place. I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals and couples, including those with ADHD, anxiety, and trauma. As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I bring lived experience alongside clinical training. I understand the exhaustion of masking, the weight of shame, and the frustration of systems that were never built for you. The right support changes everything! And this is a different kind of support. We will work with your brain, not against it. I draw from CBT, ACT, EMDR, and person-centered and strengths-based frameworks to create a treatment approach as unique as you are. I work with individuals 16+ and all types of couples navigating executive function challenges, emotional dysregulation, rejection sensitivity, relationship friction, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. This is a space where all of you is welcome — the masking, the big feelings, the things you've never said out loud because you weren't sure anyone would understand. I offer in-person and secure virtual sessions, removing the barriers that make showing up hard. You are not broken. You are not too much. You just haven't had support that truly gets it yet. You don't need to try harder. You need a new strategy! Reach out — all of you is welcome here!
