Creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. I aim to provide a space where you can express yourself freely, including the thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to put into words. With many years of counselling experience and drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, I support you to deepen your understanding of yourself and make changes that are meaningful and aligned with your values. Although I enjoy working with a wide range of people and concerns, I have a particular interest and extensive experience in supporting women navigating the transition of midlife.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Transactional Analysis Explores interactions through the lens of Parent, Adult, and Child roles. It aims to improve communication and self-awareness.
Approach Description: A person-centred approach is the foundation of my work. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to bring psychological knowledge, curiosity and compassion to help you make sense of your experiences. Because every person is unique, I tailor therapy to your individual needs, goals and circumstances. My work is informed by a range of evidence-based approaches, including Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapies. I integrate these approaches, selecting those that are the best fit for you and what you hope to achieve through therapy.

I'm a warm and compassionate psychologist with extensive counselling experience, and I consider it a privilege to support people through some of the most vulnerable and significant times in their lives. Although I enjoy working with a wide range of clients and concerns, I have a particular interest in supporting women navigating the transition of midlife. This phase of life can bring profound changes—whether through shifts in relationships, family roles, work, health, or a growing awareness of what matters most. It can be a time of uncertainty and loss, but also one of possibility, self-discovery and transformation. My aim is to help you navigate this transition with greater self-understanding, compassion and confidence, so that you can move into the next stage of life with a stronger sense of purpose and wellbeing.
I also understand that finding a therapist who feels like a good fit can feel daunting. To make this easier, I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone call. This gives us a chance to briefly connect, talk about what you’re hoping to gain from therapy, and for you to ask any questions that may help you decide whether we might work well together.
