I believe therapy should be a place where people can be honest without feeling judged, rushed, or pathologized for what they are going through. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, make sense of the patterns that keep them stuck, and move toward real change rather than just temporary relief. I work to create a space that is warm, grounded, and direct, where clients can feel supported while also being challenged in helpful ways. Whether someone is struggling with anxiety, OCD, relationship issues, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, I aim to offer therapy that is thoughtful, practical, and genuinely meaningful.

Client Focus

Session Format: Couple, Individual sessions.
Age Specialty: Adult, Senior

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
  • Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
  • Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
  • Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and evidence-based. I help clients understand the patterns driving their distress while also building concrete tools for change. I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and other approaches tailored to the client’s specific needs and goals. In my work with couples, I focus on helping partners better understand the cycle they get stuck in, communicate more clearly, and build a stronger sense of connection and safety. Across all of my work, I aim to provide therapy that is warm, honest, and focused on meaningful, lasting progress.

Kevin Jones Practice Description
My practice is grounded in the belief that meaningful therapy should be both compassionate and effective. I work with adults and couples who want more than just a place to vent. They want to better understand themselves, break out of painful patterns, and make real changes in how they relate to their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. A major focus of my work is helping people who struggle with anxiety and OCD. I use evidence-based approaches that help clients respond differently to fear, uncertainty, and the patterns that keep them stuck. I also work with individuals navigating stress, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and relationship difficulties. In couples work, I help partners slow down conflict, understand the deeper emotions underneath it, and communicate in ways that build more safety, clarity, and connection. My style is warm, direct, and engaged. I believe therapy works best when clients feel both supported and challenged. I aim to create an environment where people can be honest, feel understood, and do meaningful work that leads to lasting change. Whether we are meeting online or in person, my goal is to provide therapy that is thoughtful, practical, and tailored to the needs of the person sitting across from me.
