You are wired for connection. When you feel disconnected from your partner, family, friends, or even yourself, it causes all kinds of issues. It can make you feel lonely, unimportant, or devalued (amongst other things). It can make you act in ways that you aren't proud of or that make you feel like you're not yourself. It doesn't have to be this way. You can have connected, loving, relationships, even if it feels nearly impossible right now. I've seen it happen right in front of my eyes. It will take work. There's no getting around that, but it is possible. Your life and relationships can be different.
