Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
Approach Description: I enjoy using EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, because it is very effective for helping people process their past experiences efficiently without it being retraumatizing and without people having to articulate their whole experience. We first focus on existing strengths and build calming skills to help create some immediate relief. Many of my clients report feeling very calm by the end of their 2nd session! We then shift to processing negative memories, using eye movements or tapping to help keep you present and to enter the brain's natural healing process. This process helps reduce the sensitivity and intensity of a memory then helps shift the thoughts around the memory. It may feel and sound like magic but it has been highly studied for over 30 years and repeatedly found to be highly effective! I am presently able to provide EMDR therapy while under consultation.
I have also been providing therapy for multiple years utilizing humanistic approaches and CBT. I prioritize making a space for people to bring their whole self - all of their emotions, worries, and experiences, so together we can work towards relief and change. I also enjoy using psychoeducation to help people understand what they may be experiencing and doing so in a curious space that lacks judgment. Contact me for a free consultation.

I provide individual therapy to help adults process past experiences and trauma. Our past experiences impact how we navigate and interact with our life in the present. Sometimes people only consider the very large events to be important but the smaller events can be very impactful, if not more so. Our past experiences can cause anxiety, depression, dissociation, or impact our ability to handle stress or communicate. Due to how vast the impact of our experiences can be, therapy is an individualized experience. We will take therapy step by step at your pace to make therapy as comfortable, engaging, and effective as possible. I have helped many people make changes in their life. I want to help you too!
