I grew up in Indonesia until I went to California Baptist University for college and my masters. I have cross-cultural experiences that bring a deep appreciation for diversity, cultural sensitivity, and the many ways our backgrounds shape who we are. These experiences have given me valuable insight into identity, transition, belonging, and the complexities people often carry beneath the surface. I am supervised by Dr. Carla Santana, PhD CA LMFT#40144

Client Focus

Session Format: Couple, Family, Individual sessions.
Age Specialty: Adult, Children, Senior, Teen, Young Adult
Demographic Expertise: Asian, Christian, Women clients.

Treatment Approach

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: Together, I work with clients to better understand patterns, process difficult experiences, and strengthen emotional awareness. Using CBT, psychodynamic, solution-focused, narrative and EFT approaches, I offer a supportive space where clients can gain insight, develop meaningful coping tools, and move toward a greater sense of balance and connection.

Megan Hubert Practice Description
I am a board-registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master of Science degree in counseling psychology from California Baptist University. As a therapist trainee, I have worked at CBU’s counseling center with a general population of young adults to middle-aged students in undergrad, graduate, and doctoral programs. I have experience supporting clients navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, suicidal ideation, and PTSD. I also have experience with thought-pattern-changing work through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), exploring past experiences to help inform current issues through psychodynamic therapy, and creating awareness and sensitivity to emotions through Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). My approach is rooted in empathy, guided insight, and genuine care for each person’s unique story and experiences. I believe healing happens best when people feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. I am passionate about creating a safe, compassionate, and supportive space for people from all walks of life. Life can be overwhelming at times, and I believe no one should face it alone. My goal is to walk alongside each client with compassion and support, helping them navigate challenges, discover resilience, and move toward healing and growth. Whether you are seeking guidance through a difficult season or simply need a safe place to process life, I am honored to support you on your journey.
