Melanie Collins (She/Her)
Licensed Professional Counselor, LCPC, LPC, LCMHC, Coach
Therapy should be as unique as you are. As a therapist, I try to make sure you feel as comfortable as you need to feel in order to discuss the difficult stuff. I draw from my previous career, my education, and my own lived experience in order to make a connection with you, and help you be comfortable. I love to just have a conversation with my clients, getting to know who they are and how their challenges affect them, and subsequently, how to best approach each challenge to address it most effectively.

Treatment Approach
- Adlerian Therapy Focuses on understanding a person’s sense of belonging and purpose. It helps people overcome feelings of inferiority and create healthier relationships.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Hypnotherapy Uses guided relaxation and focus to access the subconscious mind. It is often used for habits, anxiety, and pain management.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
Approach Description: I love to find creative ways to work with clients that incorporates all of my life and career experience. It's not unusual for me to practice mindfulness or relaxation exercises during a session with a client, or to incorporate the things a client wishes to into a session. Many people hesitate to reach out to a therapist because they're afraid of being judged. My job is not to judge, rather to sit with you, challenge you, and help clear the path to insight for you. It is always an individual's choice whether they act on the things worked on while in session. Call me and let's see how we can work together!

My practice focuses on helping individuals and couples navigate desire, identity, and connection without shame. I specialize in trauma recovery, relationship dynamics, and sexuality—including kink, BDSM, ENM, and late-diagnosed neurodivergence. Clients often come to me when they’re tired of performing “okay” and ready to live more authentically. I blend depth psychology, attachment theory, and body-based awareness with a straightforward, compassionate style. This is a space where curiosity replaces judgment, consent is foundational, and your lived experience is respected as the expert voice in the room. Whether you’re exploring healing, growth, or just trying to make sense of where you are right now, you don’t have to do it alone.
