Welcome, I’m Olena. I am glad that you are here. I’m a trauma therapist specializing in PTSD and EMDR. I’ve found that my specialty is working with people who feel like something from their past is continuing to affect their present.
Client Focus
Session Format: Individual sessions.
Age Specialty: Adult, Senior, Young Adult
Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.

I’m a down-to-earth therapist, and I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable being yourself rather than feeling like you have to perform or say the “right” things. I’m not someone who is going to sit across from you and tell you how you should live your life. Instead, I want to understand your experience, help you make sense of what you’re going through, and work with you to figure out what might actually be helpful.
My approach is person-centered and collaborative. You know your life and your experiences better than anyone, while I bring my clinical experience, perspective, questions, and therapeutic tools. Sometimes that means simply having space to talk and feel understood. Other times, we may work on coping strategies, explore patterns, or consider approaches such as EMDR and trauma processing when they seem like a good fit.
I’ll offer ideas and recommendations when I think they may be helpful, but I won’t force you into an approach you aren’t ready for. I also don’t expect every session to look the same. What we focus on can change depending on what you need when you join your session that day.
I work especially well with people who want a therapist who will genuinely listen, take their experiences seriously, and work alongside them rather than trying to “fix” them. My goal is for therapy to feel like a place where you can be understood, supported, and ultimately feel more like yourself again.
