Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychoanalytic Therapy Based on Freud’s theories, it explores unconscious conflicts and past experiences. It seeks to bring hidden issues into awareness.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, supportive, and real. My goal is to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and comfortable showing up as themselves. I use an integrative approach tailored to each person’s unique needs, blending evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, EMDR, mindfulness, psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapy. Sessions are focused on helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, patterns, and relationships while building practical tools for everyday life. Through a strengths-based approach, we work together to build resilience, create lasting change, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and fulfilling.
