Treatment Approach

  • Feminist Therapy Addresses how gender roles, power, and social inequality affect mental health. It empowers clients to challenge limiting beliefs and systems.
  • Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
  • Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
Approach Description: I believe in the power of relationships, and that the therapy relationship - the one between us - is therefore our most powerful tool for change. I also believe that we cannot get far in our work without acknowledging the impact of the often oppressive systems that we are socialized into on our health and wellbeing.

Fees & Insurance

Fees
  • Average Session Fee $250 for 45-minute sessions. Longer sessions are available by request for a prorated fee.
  • Affordable sliding scale therapy: apply if you may be eligible.
  • I hold a small number of slots in my caseload for sliding scale or pay-what-you-can arrangements. Please inquire to see whether any of these slots are available. I also provide single session evaluations for letters of support for gender affirming surgeries. These sessions and letters are provided on a pay-what-you-can sliding scale fee from full fee ($350) all the way down to $0. Those who can pay some or all of the fee subsidize those who cannot, thereby allowing me to continue to provide these services as often as possible without finances ever being a barrier to accessing medically necessary treatment.
Insurance
  • Out of Network
  • I can provide paperwork for you to submit to your insurance plan for any out-of-network benefits to which you might be entitled.
